Confirmation of Eligibility

Before proceeding, please confirm the following:

  • I have read and understood the program guidelines.
  • My research will support writing a literary work (eg writing for performance, poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, personal essays or graphic novels).
  • My research will not support the writing of a work of general non-fiction (eg history or biography).
  • I am able to demonstrate evidence of a professional writing practice.
  • I am not currently undertaking PhD studies or awaiting conferral of my PhD.
  • I have not received a research Fellowship, Scholarship or Grant from the National Library of Australia in the last five years (ie funding was received in the program rounds 2022 to 2026).
  • I am able to demonstrate why my research needs to be undertaken using the collections held by the National Library of Australia.
  • I agree to apply the National Library’s Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP) protocols and ethical research principles to my project, where appropriate.
  • I understand that incomplete applications and/or applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
